Top 5 Budget Monitors

Budget: £150

What is a Good Monitor?

Knits: Measure of brightness

Refresh Rate: How fast the screen’s image refreshes

#1 – AOC C24G2AE/BK

Curved, Full HD, 24”

Refresh Rate: 165Hz

2 x HDMI, 2 x DP

Speakers: Yes

AOC would be one of my most highly recommended Monitor brands, as they keep their products consistently high quality and low price. As a proud owner of an AOC monitor, I vouch that the colours are very bright, and can be customised. However, I would not reccomend if you require the speakers, however, as there is almost a complete lack of bass in these.

#2 – LENOVO Legion R27i-30

Flat, Full HD, 27”

Refresh Rate: 165Hz

1 x HDMI, 1 x DP

Speakers: Yes

This monitor is also a great option, due to its 0.5ms response time, and wide screen. Intrestingly, it also has an audio out headphone jack, so you can listen to audio right from the monitor.

#3 – AOC 25G3ZM/BK

Flat, Full HD, 24.5”

Refresh Rate: 240Hz

1 x HDMI, 1 x DP

Speakers: No

This AOC monitor is another great choice, and although there are less ports than other AOC monitors for the same price, the high refresh rate certainly makes up for it.

#4 – ACER Nitro KG241YM

Curved, Full HD, 23.8”

Refresh Rate: 180Hz

2 x HDMI, 1 x DP

Speakers: Yes

This monitor is truly a bargain for the price. ACER did a very good job in keeping price low, while cutting the least amount of corners possible. The slightly smaller screen is hardly a compromise for such a good monitor.

#5 – GIGABYTE G24F

Flat, Full HD, 24”

Refresh Rate: 165Hz

1 x HDMI, 1 x DP

Speakers: No

This monitor is also a good option, especially if you would find the two USB 3.0 ports useful.
